October/November Class Schedule
Here's the October/November schedule of classes at AC Moore in Harbison. If you are interested in the classes or swarms, please call AC Moore at 407-5242 or register in the store. Make sure you get your class supply list or email me and I will send it to you. If you have any questions, just send me an email. August-September Classes and News
Here's the August/September schedule of classes at AC Moore in Harbison. The Flip Flop Scrapbook class is this Sunday. Creating with Cricut - $30
You will learn all of the basics of the Cricut machine (Original and Expression) as well as how to get the most out of your cartridges in this hands-on class. We will make a scrapbook layout for our final project.
Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Flip Flop Scrapbook - $15
No Cricut necessary for class. Make a summer scrapbook out of a real pair of flip flops and Cricut cutouts. Class fee includes detailed handout, flip flops, and paper to make scrapbook.

Glass Etching with Cricut - $30
This hands-on class will teach you how to use your Cricut to make and use stencils for glass etching. We will do a practice project and a final project. Class price includes 2 pieces of glass, glass etching cream and vinyl for stencils.

Design Studio and Gypsy Updates
There is a new font update available for Design Studio with the Creative Memories cartridges and the September releases. Get the Design Studio Update here. The Gypsy update has the same cartridges. Get the update by running your Gypsy Sync software on your computer. Get the details of the update here.

- AC Moore has the Original Cricut Machine on sale for $99 through 08/21/10.
- Walgreens has 10 cent prints on orders of 50 prints or more through 08/21/10. The code is STOCKUP.
- The next Cricut machine is the Cricut Imagine. It prints and cuts. Cricut partnered with HP to develop this machine. It will be available Sept. 14th on HSN and in stores in October. - Yesterday was Hello Thursday, so Cricut announced new cartridges. Cricut has partnered with Creative Memories to produce 2 cartridges exclusive to Creative Memories: Cheerful Seasons and Reminisce Accents. The next set of limited edition cartridges are: Thanksgiving, Christmas Cards, and Christmas Village. There will also be a new full cartridge called Boys Will Be Boys. The limited edition cartridges and Boys Will Be Boys will be available in September.
- Retiring cartridges are Soccer and Zooballoo. All retired cartridges are on my blog in the Cricut Cartridge Graveyard post.
- A new scrapbook store is coming to Lexington. SCRAPBOOK UTOPIA! An imaginary place will be opening in September, at 5341 Sunset Blvd. Suite C, (Hwy 378) Lexington, SC 29072. It's in the Topspin Plaza. I post more details once I get them.
- The Joann's store on Garner's Ferry Road will be closing and a new store will be opening on Two Notch Road, in front of Walmart (old Goody's location).
- Memories in the Making will be holding Croppin' in Columbia September 17-18 in Forest Acres at St. Martin's in the Fields Church. Check out their blog at http://memoriesinthemakingcrops.blogspot.com/ or email (memoriesinthemakingcrops@gmail.com) them to register or sign-up for a vendor table.

April/May Schedule
Here's the April/May schedule of classes at AC Moore in Harbison. I'll also be teaching at a crop this weekend and there's a new Fabric class in May.

The new cartridges are: Give a Hoot, Just Because Cards, Preserves, and Straight from the Nest. They will all be available in mid-March; Straight from the Nest will only be available from HSN. The cartridges being discontinued are: Blackletter, Christmas, Sans Serif and Street Sign.

Upcoming Crops
Everyone knows that I love to go to crops. I thought that I would start posting about crops I hear about and/or am going to in case anyone else would like to go. Going to crops is a great way to meet other crafters and make new friends!

Jan. 8-9 - Economic Recovery Crop* at St. Martin’s of the Fields Church in Columbia.
*I”ll be teaching Creating with Cricut at this crop for the economic recovery price of $20 (bring your machine and tools and 4 pieces of paper).
Feb. 19-21 - Winter Kisses Retreat at the Grand Shore Resort in Myrtle Beach.
